Getting Started
Download the app, power on the device, measure and train.
You can sign up in the app or on the website.
When you use the device, your results will be securely uploaded to your account.
Apps are available for iOS and Android. Please contact us if you are interested in the Windows PC version.
You must accept all prompts for permissions during the install. Otherwise, the device will not be able to connect.
Before you train with the PrO2, always review this safety checklist. Since you will be breathing in deeply, it is important that both your mouth AND the device are free from loose particles that might accidentally be pulled into your lungs.
The back of the device contains the power button. Press and release the button. Within a couple seconds, the Bluetooth LED should start blinking. On the display version Ready will be shown on the display.
You do not need to pair the PrO2 device. The mobile app will automatically connect when the app is opened.
Open the PrO2 app. Choose Login if you already have an account or choose Create a New Account and follow the prompts to register a new account.
The PrO2 can be used to be used for single breath measurements or full RMT training. In either case, you start by measuring your FIT score.
Click measure FIT.
Inspiratory testing: Exhale all the air out of your lungs and breath in as hard as you can and hold the breath as long as you can.
Expiratory testing: Inhale a full breath of air into your lungs then exhale into the device as hard as you can and hold the breath as long as you can.
At the end of the breath your FIT score will be displayed. Once you have your FIT score baseline breath you can either click Done or Train.
If you click Train after your baseline it will start your training protocol. Follow the same instructions as measuring FIT score. Be sure to do your best with each breath.
Between each breath you will have time to rest. The rest interval decreases with each set. The standard protocol is 6 breaths at 6 different rest intervals: 40, 30, 25, 20, 15 and 10 seconds.
When you are done, a summary is displayed in the app. You can also visit the results page to view all of your results online.
